(38,422 posts)46. It is really sad that it has not changed much since I earned my physics & math degree
more than 30 years ago.
I do actually do a rough count every year at the largest professional conference I attend. The ratio is about 9:1 - and holding pretty steady.

Both boys and girls should be encouraged to be scientists if they have the ability and interest
