69. It seems American Jews are highly supportive of gay marriage

Except orthodox Jews. Generally conservative and reform Jews are highly supportive of gay marriage. Just to throw this out there, 78% of Jews in Cal. voted against prop. 8. Also, a recent survey done by the Public Religion Research Institute showed that 81% of American Jews support same sex marriage. I think it generally depends on which sect of Judaism you belong to.
