156. Good grief we learned this in the early sixties in gym class in Texas. There was no drama, none.

They taught us about driving safely, the danger of smoking and STDs. They didn't say don't do it, just offered consequences.

The texts were supplemented with public safety films of car wrecks and talks from police officers about the dangers of driving too fast or drunk. Others were of the effect of smoking including lung biopsies - really turned us off cigarettes. The STD part had pictures of the graphic nature of untreated disease.

If a teacher can't use the proper medical terms, how does one explain to young ladies about their menstrual cycle without scaring them half to death?

Wait, we shouldn't even have to find different words. They might as well homeschool these kids if they can't teach them. The quiver full groups will tell the girls they don't need to learn to read because they need to cook and make babies, and the young men can pretend that they don't know what they're doing in bed.

This is deliberate. The Idiocracy or the Brave New World is being installed on the installment plan. The kids that are in this system will never be able to move up in society. Thank goodness for the teacher trying to hold back the darkness the fundies and plutos want to impose on so many.
