(2,173 posts)28. THEY CAN'T DO THAT! They never LEFT a state of war with S. Korea.
The armistice wasn't an end of war but rather an agreement to put it on hold, much as one would pause a video clip. They have been at war for 63 years. You can't declare war when you are still at war.
They can back out of the armistice, but all that does is hit "play" on the video clip. What they don't seem to comprehend is that every other country in the world has moved ahead by 60 years since the armistice went into effect. N. Korea took a couple of baby steps and fell over.
I honestly can't tell if they're completely clueless or just on a suicide mission.
