In reply to the discussion: How Karl Rove fixed the FBI investigation of his theft of the 2004 Presidential election in Ohio [View all]Cliff Arnebeck
(305 posts)Thank you, OldDem2012. I am a relatively New Dem, having changed over in 1996 from being a Republican. I had served as counsel to the Ohio Senate Republican Campaign Committee from 1980-1988 and was Ohio counsel to Bob Dole's 1988 Presidential Campaign in the Republican primary that year. I even formally and personally endorsed President George H.W. Bush for reelection in the 1992 Presidential campaign, even though he had led a full media blitz campaign in favor of my Republican Congressional opponent in the 1990 15th District of Ohio Republican primary.
It is interesting to see some of my old Republican friends and clients, such as former U.S. Rep. Bob Ney, getting "sideswiped" by "hit men" associated with today's Republican Party. Ney's very good book--right about in the middle of it--publishes my letter of July 2008 to Attorney General Mukasey seeking protection of Karl Rove's IT guru against a threat reportedly made against him by Karl Rove. Reportedly, Connell was being directed to "take the fall" for the theft of the 2004 Presidential election in Ohio. When he did not do so in his court ordered deposition with Bob Fitrakis and me, on November 5, 2008, he was reportedly assassinated by a Blackwater team on December 19, 2008.
