important years. His stepfather was educated in the US.

Obama did not stay in Indonesia with his step-father for very many years before he came back to go to school in the US.

Obama was born in 1961. His mother married Obama''s stepfather in 1963 and moved with Obama to Indonesia in 1967. Obama would have been two when his mother remarried and about 6 years old when they moved to Indonesia.

Obama attended school in Indonesia from 6 to 10 and returned to the US. He was with his stepfather a total of maybe eight years with his stepfather.
