159. To me, we are living now through the end of an experiment in democracy, and it's damn clear the

oligarchs have won. I heard someplace recently that about 28% of American have less than $1,000 in cash ... and something like 47% of Americans have less than $25,000 in set aside funds. Don't quote me on these figures, I'm just recalling what I heard recently ... I think few Americans today realize when they hit retirement most will have nothing or very little. Safety nets are fading, SS is being dismantled and who knows where Medicare is headed ... if the R's are back in seniors well might be walking around with $6,000 vouchers while the insurance companies laugh at them. This country is headed straight toward being a theocratic dystopia IMO.

I hope I'm wrong, but my guess is in about 10 years or less this will seem like the best of times for many Americans, young and old.
