35. Obama Misplayed His Hand With The Bush Tax Cuts

He should have known that Boehner would respond with a "one and done" message, meaning Obama needed to get everything when he had leverage. As Boehner shows here Obama's quiver is empty. All he can do is kick the can down the road and wait for a couple of bad months data on the economy and then he can at least say "I told you so". Not very satisfying, for sure. Coming in May is a new debt ceiling showdown. Does he have the guts to shut down the government with North Korea rattling the cage? Again, the quiver is empty. Obviously, elections no longer matter -- thanks Citizens United.
