i`ve spent more than enough time in doctors offices and hospitals in the last few weeks than i ever have in my life. thanks to mr johnson and the rest who voted for medicare everything is being paid by medicare. i also look around and notice there are a lot of people my age and older who are also on medicare and i`m guessing they might be wondering the same thing as i am.what the hell? if they cut social security and medicare how in the hell are we supposed to make up the difference? cut our social security payments? that`s our money we gave the government.

i`m also guessing that most of the people i see are not political junkies like you and me. we can understand how the game is played in washington but there`s millions who do`t nor have the time to do so. what`s even worse many listen to the rightwing media crap that pollutes the public discussion on these issues. the president and the democratic party is making a huge mistake by putting social security and medicare on the table. we have to remember there is going to be a lot more early retirements because the economic outllook for them is as bleak as mine was 4-5 years ago. i had to take my ss early because there were no jobs for anyone my age. this is what pisses me off the most. it`s the coming election for the house and senate. are these people going to vote for the democrats when they put ss and medicare on the table? i`m not sure i`d want to bet on the democrats if obama and the democrats if they decide to play this hand.
