...I don't know if the "Romeo and Juliet" laws were specifically written for heterosexuals, I just know it is how it has been applied.

The guilty plea was almost certainly to avert some threatened, hugely ridiculous punishment

This is the OPPOSITE of equality. The age of consent for straight couples is 16.
