who will take this president's willingness to cut SS benefits and use as a campaign issue against Democrats. He thought he could bribe them with SS?? Or you trying to tell us he used SS as a gambling chip meant to achieve, exactly what???

It is utter nonsense to keep pushing this idiotic notion that he 'doesn't mean it, he just wants to show every one how the Republicans won't do anything he wants'. What an utter ridiculous piece of illogical nonsense that is. If he wanted to show that Republicans will never agree with him, then he should have picked something else, something that doesn't matter to people. He should have promised them the moon, or whatever.

But if you think he is not serious about this, then I have some stuff to sell you.

They led him into a corner. Now all they have to do is to pretend it is THEY who will protect SS, that the Dems are willing to cut benefits.

After the election, they will go right back to their original position on SS.

And if he really was playing the game you claim, he better look around before it's too late. It has failed spectacularly as the anger among people across the board is overwhelmingly. A majority of people believe he is trying to cut benefits. IF you decide to play a game with something like this, you better make it a good game. This is the most ridiculous excuse for what he did that I can imagine.
