give them that oppurtunity? Is there anyone in authority in this party who could not predict what we ordinary, non-professional citizens predicted once a Dem offered up SS cuts as a bargaining chip, KNOWING Republicans would not accept it and in the process grab the opportunity to make Dems look like the ones who are trying to destroy SS. Knowing full well surely the capacity of Republicans to lie.

You surely didn't think that someone like Bachmann who manages to get herself elected over and again, no matter how many lies she tells, would not jump at this opportunity.

It's clear the Dem Party needs some experienced, intelligent professional political advisers. If this was their idea of good strategy, then we really are in more trouble than we thought.
