12. Some of these folks can't see beyond the end of their rifle barrel

Whereas I kept expecting to see rain barrels or water catchment systems or hydroponic gardens rather than homemade flamethrowers.
If one of those channels really wanted to create a show about off-the-grid survival techniques, all they have to do is create a "Mother Earth News" type of show, I know I'd watch that. I watched a few episodes od "Preppers" and quickly got bored. Learned nothing other than there seem to be a lot of paranoids out there with massive stockpiles of weapons. Just what kind of "day after" society are they preparing for, anyway? Not one I'd want to live in, that's for sure.
