35. Far too many of them are in poor physical shape

I see the same thing with the really nutty gun owners who weigh 300 lb and can barely walk 50 ft without getting winded thinking they'll have to use their arsenal to fight off the government some day in a Red Dawn fantasy.

If they really believed what they espouse, they'd be exercising daily, learning how to grow a garden, learning how to forage for edible wild plants, and learning how to live off the land like people did 200 years ago.

Instead, they all seem to think that if they bunker down with enough bullets and cans of ravioli, they'll throw open the door one day and simply stroll out into a new Garden of Eden or something.

BTW: love the fact you mentioned Mother Earth News! If anyone really wanted to learn to be more self-sufficient and survive hard times, this is a great magazine for that.
