if they just hate her, but addiction is a disease. Why are some being so callous about it is beyond me.
Substance abuse has affected lots of people, and you probably know some who are closeted or are apparent addicts.
They are you friends, neighbors and family. How would you wish to see them treated: with kindness, civility and understanding or a throw away the key mentality?

I have empathy her for addictions, but it's still OK to criticize her for epic bad behavior.
