You know, the idea that ccpi is being offered with the knowldge that the GOP will turn it down and prove to the People that they are the unreasonable ones?

I find it interesting, because I had the same idea once.

I thought it would be great to offer up abortion in exchange for an 80% tax rate on the upper bracket. A federal ban on abortions for the big tax on the 1%. They'd never take it and they would finally show all the "Religious Right " voters who the GOP really represented. The 1% would lose its endorsement from God.

Man,that was a stupid idea.

I now know how it feels to have an issue you care about most being used as a clever ploy.

It feels like a betrayal.

Plus, you never really know if it was a ploy or not.

In the case of SS, I don't think it was.
