He's offering up people's health and well being in exchange for his one true goal and what seems to be his priority above all else, which is to get folks like David Brooks and David Gregory and all the serious beltway media insiders to say nice things about him.

That can really be the only explanation for so many of his actions since they are literally the only people to whom so many of the things Obama does and says appeals to.
