The goal is to sell a product. The one percent have an agenda. They know it is predatory; their goal is to make it palatable so they do not have to deal with outright revolt.

All our polls and phone calls and letters and petitions have not changed that agenda. Rather, we get focus groups and trial balloons to try to figure out how to sell the agenda to us in a more effective way.
