Well, that didn't take long.... [View all]
McConnell is creaming his pants at the prospect of new security regulations and curtailing of liberties. I'm sure he is hoping to use this as an excuse to ramp up the fear and once again have us compliant as we were after 9/11 in order to advance their hidden "agenda". Sorry Turtle man, ain't gonna work this time. I'm hoping the American people have grown a brain stem by now and see the second "act" for what it is.
Mitch McConnell on Boston Bombings: Americans have become complacent about terrorism
By Ben Armbruster on Apr 16, 2013 at 11:20 am
"Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in a speech on the Senate floor on Tuesday commemorating the Boston Marathon attacks said that some Americans have become complacent about terrorism in such a way that is reminiscent to the time before the 9/11 attacks:
MCCONNELL: On 9/11 we forever disabused of the notion that attacks, like the one that rocked Boston yesterday ,only happen on the field of battle or in distant countries. With the passage of time, however, and the vigilant efforts of our military, intelligence and law enforcement professionals, I think its safe to say that for many, the complacency that prevailed prior to September 11th has actually returned. And so we are newly reminded that serious threats to our way of life remain. And today again we recommit ourselves to the fight against terrorism at home and abroad."

Interesting that he's already pointing the "fickle finger of fate" away from America, when all the facts are not in yet on whether this was homegrown terrorism or now. Let the hype and hysteria begin!!
