that Pryor would not lose in a primary battle, especially not to someone to the political left of him (someone that DU would enthusiastically support). The DPAR would do whatever it could to prevent such a serious challenge, because they know absolutely that a more liberal Democratic nominee would lose to a Republican. Pryor has a much, much better chance of retaining his seat than would a more liberal Democrat.

Would I prefer someone more liberal? You betcha! But I'm just spelling out the reality on the ground here. Reality sucks sometimes, y'know?
