10. They're trying to get things passed before

it all falls apart around them. Here in Minnesota, the Republicans who took both houses of the legislature by narrow margins, are trying their damndest to pass as many reactionary and divisive things as possible in this year's short session. They know that they'll be out of control in November. As far as possible, they're trying to do things in the form of amendments to the state constitution. If the voters approve those things, the Democratic governor can't do anything about it. In most cases, those measures are likely to fail in November, though.

They know their time is short to be in control of the legislature, so they're trying to poison the well before getting tossed. I think it's the same all over the country. Good riddance to this bunch!
