This (on camera interview with the mechanic) says the expensive cars belonged to foreign students who were friends. It seems clear the white Mercedes belonged to his girlfriend, though some sources say it's a 2006 model, and some a 1967 one.

You said "all this money" in the thread title. You are claiming they had "all this money", but there's no actual claim that they did.
