lying on the floor bleeding, why did the police feel it was necessary to shoot the boat full of holes? Sounds to me like they were trying to kill the guy before he could removed from the boat and arrested.

Also, he should offer the boat for sale on eBay. I imagine there would be plenty of righties willing to pay big money for it.
