12. yes, thanks to the awesome folks who kept the "live" police scanner thread going

That was just amazing -- constant posts reporting *exactly* what was being said on the police scanner as everything unfolded in real time. The scanner link wouldn't work for me and others had the same trouble, and so some thoughtful DUers listened and posted simultaneously. It was awesome, and it was about one million times better than listening to the confusion on any of the television news stations. CNN would catch up with our thread three or four minutes later.
