Now,If Breaking Bad was 100% a situation comedy, now that would be funny like I think it is, that is one thing.

But as a drama?It's stupid. So far over the top as to render itself obsolete unless actually a full comedy.

As for Splash, it is no different than the long running show decades ago where celebs did some sort of sport each week in competition. Can't think of the name of it.
And people watch hoping someone gets hurt (but isn't that why many who watch NASCAR exists?)

TV in the 50s,60s,70s,80s,90s was better.
Gimme Maude and Sanford and Adam-12, and the original Hawaii-5-O, gimme Harry O and Columbo and Kojak and any of the Bob Newhart shows and Lucy shows and Get Smart and WKRP in Cinn. Gimme Dennis and Leave it to Beaver and the later versions like Cosby and Brady Bunch.Gimme the Honeymooners.

Gimme AntennaTV (or for those lucky enough to get it also, MeTV., which my cable don't have).

But Splash is inconsequential background roll your eyes mindless filler tv.
It don't matter so it's not either stupid or not stupid.

Breaking Bad is consequential and who knows what people might end up doing thinking they are immitating that show. It could rewrite a chapter in history, much like Django, and that I find stupid. It is dangerous and anyone can watch it.(any kid who has cable in their house).
And if it is not 100% dark comedy, they will think it is real and they can do it too.
Maybe the guy who sent letters last week did so watching this show.

Anyone can take a dive off a ledge. Well, George Bailey did so too.

Now, this thread is in GD and not the lounge. So I might be wrong, but as its in GD, I assume it is relevant to political discussion and based my answer as such.
I assume the OP (maybe wrongly) was using an analogy to something else.

If it were in the lounge a different answer might have been.
but since this is GD
The 2 hateperps were stupid.
The law enforcement that saved them was smart (or as the kids might say today Dope).
