I owned PCs for years, but you know the drill: always having to optimize this that or the other, programs never work properly together, all that stuff.
I also owned in sequence, a Windows phone, then an Android, and then an iPhone.
That iPhone is what got me to buy a Mac.
What happened was as follows: I got the Windows phone because at the time it was the only phone that would run this one app I was interested in. Shortly after I bought it the app was ported to ios, but I was happy with my Windows phone, so didn't care. Towards the end of the contract I had on that phone it began to hang every once in a while, and so I decided my next one would be an Android as by then even they had the app I wanted, and everyone at work was saying to get Android. So I did.
It hanged all the time. After about half a year I finally gave up and replaced it with an iPhone, which I still have, and which has worked flawlessly from day one. Never even threatened to hang. Also a lot easier on the battery. In fact, now that I think of it, the last straw with the Android was that it drained down to 5%, hung, and wouldn't come out of it for anything.
After experiencing the iPhone for a while, I figured I just had to get a Mac for my next computer. Which I did, and haven't looked back. This past year, with both of these devices, has been the first time I can honestly say I've gone that entire time without once having to think about how either one works. They just do. And that's what I need, and want.
