Ok, I admit it. I'm not a huge JFK fan. I think he's overrated. I think he was morally bankrupt and the ultimate cold warrior and very slow with civil rights because he feared that the southern dems would stand in the way of his other programs. I guess what he did behind closed doors is none of our business, but he certainly didn't go out of his way to keep his activities secret. The press of the time knew what he was doing--all of them say so now (those still living)--but at the time they didn't publicize that kind of thing.
