19. Yeah, Dems were afraid...

... of never winning another election, thought they needed to be more like Republicans to get elected. I'd rather stand on principal and lose than stand for something I'm not and get elected. Where is the character in that? It was the Reagan effect. He scared the pants off the Democrats and they sold out. George McGovern WAS the last great Democrat to run for office. I miss George so much. That's where this nation took it's tragic turn... when it turned it's nose up to a real Patriot.

OK, even Jimmy Carter... didn't he deregulate the airline industry? Democrats turned so damn Harry Reid-gullible, didn't they? Couldn't stand to be called "liberals." What wimps. Afraid to stand up and fight for what was right. Damn!

I still want to know the history of the DLC. History tells a story and I want to hear it. I want to know in what smokey back room this decision went down. I want names and dates. I want the truth.
