In reply to the discussion: Two home invasions in one week in my town, how do you protect your self ? [View all]pintobean

if you think it's bullshit or not. Shit like that happens every day in this country. I know it happens in St. Louis and I bet it happens in Milwaukee. It usually doesn't make the news unless someone is killed or badly injured. Accusing this person of lying because they don't want to disclose their location is just silly, and it makes all of us look like jerks. If it is a troll, he's winning.
That simple, Jeff.

Seriously they aren't going to know that until AFTER they have gotten in and find nothing of value.

I doubt it. Thieves don't invade homes unless they are sure they will get a lot of loot.

I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.

Call 911 and then go tell the intruder you did so. They'll be scared and run away.

My guess is that they are more vulnerable and less able to put up any defense. nt

Because it's likely a fictitious story designed to try and justify gun nutterism

9 times out of 10, the home invaders knew the victim. Either through kids or as a worker.

Motion sensors are easy to install. Find a techie and have that person add enhancements.
