I think when a man runs AS a Sorkin liberal fantasy, claiming the talent to heal DC and make progress, that man should not be surprised that voters expected him to be that which he claimed to be. Oprah called him 'The One' and he sat there and smiled. He did not say 'hey, I'm just a guy who tries' he said 'yeah I will change how Washington does business'. He did not have to indulge in all of that crap. But he did. MoDo did not do that to him, he did that because it worked and because it is fun to promise the moon to stupid kids only later to sneer at them for believing you.
