(14,139 posts)107. There's a LOT of self-righteousness in ANY culture. Look at the environmentalist movement.
Occupy. The Brady group. Those all have us vs. them cultures. We're the good guys; they're the bad guys. WE know what's right, they don't. Other opinions are mocked and minimalized.
I agree with your points, but it is helpful to realize that every group does this to some degree.
