How many times have we read posts concerning 'old white men', their privilege, and how they run/ruin the country. Here is a young white woman who has screwed up many, many times - and she is defended by many.
Her court appearance in March was her 20th court appearance.
Has had multiple run-ins with the law for various reasons including theft, assault, violation of probation, driving under the influence, etc
Has had access to some of the finest treatment for substance abuse money can buy, and has disregarded it.
Has had jail time measured in minutes.
How many folks (especially young black ones) with similar crimes - VOP, theft, DUI, etc. - have been sentenced to years rather than minutes.
Has flaunted her celebrity status to her advantage. And yet, continues to have supporters who can see no wrong, but will take every opportunity to cast aspersions at those who are in disfavor with those same supporters for quite similar transgressions.
Think I'll go look up 'hypocrisy' now, because that surely is what it sounds like. But obviously, YMMV.
