He'll be the one to "rescue" the GOP from the Teabaggers.

Until then, Cruz and whatever other nutjob what pass for politicians will be held up high to demonstrate and relentlessly reinforce the "principled conservative cause" mantra. Cruz also serves to deflect any fallout from "failed government programs" and the bad kharma directed toward Washington until the arrival of the savior, the outsider, the appointed next BFEE turd to hold the Oval Office.
