The subthread was becoming silly. Violent people do violent things. We don't have a crystal ball to tell us how big an asshole somebody has to be to actually become a danger to others around him. We just have to wait until he does and send him to jail for it. That's what due process is all about. In the meantime we, as liberals, should establish a supportive social structure to help people not become violent assholes.

I find it amusing that an outspoken advocate of non violence is angrily railing about "future violent criminals". According to his reasoning, his own attitude should get him locked up.
