Your pattern is easy to detect Defend everything the president says and does, and deny all speculation, even if there's grounds for it.

That is, until something becomes undeniable or indefensible.

Then jump out in front of it by posting about it yourself, thereby creating the illusion of impartiality and credibility (staying in the game)
