17. I have to agree! I hope they are paid well for such an awful job!

I'd be curious to learn if this woman knew the context of the job or was just given a line and told to say it.

She could be someone who isn't political and who doesn't follow election contests at all, and thought the ad was something it wasn't.

I feel sorry for her as well. We know that in Hollywood way back when, actors had no choice if they wanted to work in their profession--unless they were in a film or play with a director from their same group, or a director with some sensitivity and a writer with basic human decency, they were often stuck acting out a stereotype.

And speaking of a stereotype, that awful thing has it all--it's very tone deaf. I'm surprised the idiot didn't use that typical racist Chinese musical riff to fire the thing off--you know, this one (this guy calls it like it is):
