As for getting rid of the cap, that concept doesn't go far enough.

The rich and the super-rich make most of their money from capital gains. Because the rich and the super-rich let the government borrow from the Social Security trust fund to pay for endless wars and occupations, make capital gains subject to Social Security taxes.
