2. Discredit Obama to hide that the questions they raised about Susan Rice were all bogus.

3. Discredit Hillary to keep people from realizing Repubs were lying all along.

They would never mention the Pentagon report that says the incident started at 9:42PM Benghazi time, 3:42PM ET.
9:42, 3:42ET Gunfire begins
9:59, 3:59ET Drone diverts to Benghazi, to take one hour
Approximate times from here:
10:07, 4:07ET Panetta's office notified.
10:15, 4:15PM Panetta notified.
10:30, 4:30PM Can't reach ambassador.
10:45, 4:45PM Create and mobilize three teams:
1. Hostage, 2. Insurrection, 3. Opportunistic ... IIRC
11:00, 5:00PM Meet with Obama. Previously scheduled 5PM meeting. Drone arriving in Benghazi.

... they did just what we'd want, just what they should do.

Republican think tanks are just exploiting unnecessary statements they can design around people who don't know the details yet. Samo samo.
