(22,685 posts)Is that what they use in Romance novels? I've read Lady Chatterley but I don't remember, and it may not even qualify.
Honestly, being her same age or thereabouts, I can so easily imagine all of it.
Then, and now.
It explains to ME why she went along with it then. And it explains to me why she fessed up to it now (after the buzz was out for years about her anyway).
It also explains to me why she made it a bit flowery.
Because: She was so young. She was so shocked. She was virginal, and not in a position to make huge waves.
No waves, really. She was being sexually harassed while being casually seduced.
Besides, he was attractive - plus all the other shocking things that went on in her 19 year old mind when it happened.
Over time she has figured out that this was not that cool a thing to do with a married man.
The flowery words are making her feel a bit better because they take away some of the sting.
