8. If it makes you feel better, I'm a defector

The GOP has moved so far right I ditched it. It became so obvious to me that they are using stupid social issue bullshit like religion, "values" stuff etc to conceal their plutocratic or/and authoritarian aims. I hate them now. Really. It is unfortunately seriously straining my relations with some friends or family that have ironically become even more conservative. I feel very bad about that.
