Why aren't we fighting wingnut insanity? [View all]

For the last four decades, the GOP has been getting crazier by the day and the sane have done virtually nothing to stop them.

Teabaggers are now embedded in the House of Representatives and, due to gerrymandering, will probably be running it until the next census in 2020. There is virtually no (legal) way to push them aside. Add to that Fox “news,” hate radio and the rest of the right-wing echo chamber, the mainstream media’s impotence, and we end up with democracy gasping for air.

So here are my questions. Why aren’t we treating this as a fight for the survival of sanity? And if we decided to do so, exactly what would/could we do that wouldn’t make us as insane as them?

I can’t answer these questions. Any ideas?
