were several features that were banned if the gun had more than two of them. The point is, I have fired many semi-auto guns with the same rate of fire of 'assault weapons'. My father has a mini-14 but because it isn't 'scary looking' it would not have been banned under the latest AWB legislation. It is mechanically no different than a Mini-14 that would be banned under such legislation.
