Elsewhere Sarah refers to her daughter having her own salon. Obviously, as in the Romney school of parenting, if you need money, just ask your parents. The Palins can pay to set her up in a salon, where she can employ others to work. She will make a lot more as the owner of a salon then as a hairdresser. As always with Sarah, the devil is in the details.

And I agree with another poster, that hairdressing is not recession-proof. Many women I know have stopped going to a salon and color their own hair. And for many years when on a tight budget, I cut my own and my kids' hair.
