However, hospitals have been cutting staff by attrition ever since the ACA was passed because their stupid bean counters are frightened by all the negative propaganda from the GOP.

The big scandal out there is how many new grads in nursing, who began their educations being told about the nursing shortage, now find there are no jobs, anywhere.

Staffing was already at unsafe levels when I left nearly a decade ago. I can't imagine what nurses in the trenches are dealing with today.
