This violation of the press is hardly an aberration in the increasingly broad, intrusive, authoritarian state that has been cultivated and protected since 9/11. Anyone who has not read it should take a long look at the ACLU's detailed, damning indictment of what is being done to our fundamental rights and privacies, first under Bush and now under Obama:
