we had to provide our own handguns an ammo, I carried a Smith & Wesson .357 up until the Forest Service finally saw fit to standardize our weapons and issued the S & W 9mm and when I finally retired, we were carrying the
S & W .40 cal.
Still had to buy my own holster and mag holders. Cheap bastards.
