If they didn't have access to fireworks and pressure cookers this would not have happened.

You have to blame...well freedom. Think about it - if we didn't let citizens have anything they could use to harm others such things like this could not happen. We failed in that we let people like you and me have access to such things.

At some point in time we need to limit our freedoms, allow more people like bush, cheney, etc have more freedoms and then the rest of us will be safer.

Even if 0.01% of people used things like pressure cookers and fireworks to harm others we would be ahead off to remove access to all others and their joys and fun to protect the rest of us (well, unless you get employed by the government, then you are ok to buy and use such things as we trust them more than us).

If it saves just one life, if it saves the children, we should do all we can to ban it.

People. Citizens. Don't trust them. Trust those old white guys in DC as they are far more trust worthy with guns, gun powder, etc than us. But then when they kill others, it is legal and paid for by us and called a police action and defense - even when it is teens in yemen being blown up.
