1. yeah it sucks but use common sense

These policies were put into place because of the young Soldiers we have coming in right out of high school & their parents house w/out a clue on how to things work in the real world & people will screw them over becau see all it takes is a phone call to our Commander to get the bill paid.

However, as this article states this was a Marine Sergeant that got his ass scammed w/ a 400% interest rate. He is a supervisor of younger Soldiers @ that point & is supposed to be teaching them about avoiding these stupid things (yes, if you are a good NCO you mentor your Soldiers on many aspects of life).

So in a nutshell he should have acted like a grown up and read the damn contract.
