16. Socially we are winning; economically we are being routed

American is becoming more socially liberal but more economically capitalist. Dare I even say maybe slightly more libertarian overall. People seem to be adopting a more "live and let live" mentality. But wealth disparity is increasing rapidly. And government trust has eroded to a point where the system is struggling to stay efficient.
