You know, jberry Phelps held over 30,000 anti gay demonstrations in all 50 states for years before even one straight group organized a counter demonstration or spoke out against them. Only when they went after Veterans did your community find a iota of energy to oppose Phelps.
So. Phelps is to a degree a result of the very apathy you call for.
